Aimee, I know you far too well, perhaps even better than you know yourself, but I love you, warts and all (that's a figure of speech, I'm not trying to say you've got warts). The reason I said warts and all is because I know all of your bad points, the ones you don't like to admit eg. your inability to say no, etc. just as well as your good eg. erm....well, can somebody help me out here? Only joking. Back to the point, I know what you're like and I know that you think the most endearing thing about a man is that he likes you. You're such a sucker (no puns) for flattery (actully, I've just realised that the sucker bit is quite funny if you put it in the context of outside spiders).
So I have one (of many probably) piece of advice for you to think about :
No matter how many compliments you are given, or how apologetic they (Dave) might seem, or however lonely you are feeling, or however much they plead, it's not worth being used and getting upset, particularly when you bring it on yourself, and you don't owe anybody anything.
Have the confidence to believe that you are worth better. You have / had a boyfriend who realised how special you are, and we know it too, now we're just waiting for you to catch on.....I won't hold my breath.
You know you don't deserve to be treated like shit, and you know you'll get a bollocking off me every time you get yourself in such a situation.
There, I hope I've given you something to think about
