      • Re: Thanks E and Maggie.. I have tried the Pill (made me a zombie) tried the patch--OD'd on nicotine ;) Been hypmotized (sp), tried the gum.. tried the count down.. ROFL tried it all.. the doctor doesn't want me to try the nasal spray... Heck the pill flipped me out can you imagin what the nasal spray would do.. ROFL.. The doctor just told me my problem is the habit not the adiction, and there are thousands of triggers that make me wanna light up each day.. isn't that just helpful LOL...Have tried cold turkey and I guess I had always quit longer with that then anything else.. just gotta put my mind to it again and quit for good.. I've quit for almost a year before (with the exception of a smoke here and there) I know I can.. I guess I just really don't want to.. what a shame.. cause my mom has lung problems and my dad has throat cancer.. you would think I would get a clue, cause hell I sure don't want my kids to go thru what I'm going thru....         • Well, your attempts are quite commendable, Gail! My mum refuses to even try anything. And she smoked while she was pregnant w/me and my sis and around us all the time up until we left home! Happy New Year ~~~ Kiedstar here, Had to stop by and just happened across this thread about the smoking....so, I had to tell my story,too...I quit smoking with the GUM..it worked! for me in 1996..
