Of those two... I think I would like one in between, with a mix of the 'simpler' words and the more unusual ones.
My OPINION is...
The first one is a bit simple
The second is too hard to understand
And they are both a bit choppy.

I can't say that I am a good writer, (I 'know' I am a bad speller) but I spend almost my entire day, save the time I am sleeping or on the computor... reading. I easily read 4-6 hours a day.
I have my own idea of a good message, as you said, which may be very different from others. I gave Elly my opinion. ONE of the Guardians.. If you dissagree, then post what you think of her post... she can decide for herself whose advice she will take... which is the way it should be.
