History of World Peace by Orlghods Arwhon

This article was written in 2102 c.e. to celebrate 100 years of world peace.

Once upon a time, the American Government in its greed and desire for power, stuck its nose in to affairs which were none of its business. In doing so many people’s lives were affected for a very long time. This happened in an area we call the Middle East. America gave weapons to warring countries and made them available to both sides of the warring factions. They imposed sanctions on countries knowing that children would suffer from lack of food and medicine and they committed air raids continually for years.

One day, someone in one of these countries said stop! But no one could hear them above the bombs and the lies. So someone said fine, let’s show them what it’s like to live in a war zone. In the most brilliant manouvre ever in the history of war, someone used America’s own symbols of freedom from poverty to plough into America’s symbols of greed and capitalism, the twin towers of the World Trade Center. Many Americans were killed and hurt, all innocent victims, like the innocent victims who had died in the Middle East for decades. Someone was very pleased with himself, for not only had he shown the world that enough is enough, he had done it without even paying for his own fuel.

The American President said oh no! What have I brought upon my people? He declared a ban on all weapons and apologized to the countries of the Middle East for meddling in their lives for so long. The American President realized that as the supposed most powerful man in the richest part of the world he had neglected his biggest duty - to share food and health services with every baby born on this planet and encourage love and harmony across the face of the earth.

The American President was now fired with an urgency to rectify the wrongs of the past. He shipped food and medicine to the poor countries of the world and he organized a mass destruction of weapons from every country on earth. This took a long time. The American President said please be patient, but the people didn’t need to be patient, for once the leader of America had found perfect love and perfect trust in his heart, all the Western peoples followed and they helped to heal the sick and feed the poor. The American President held a conference to ask the people of every race and religion, what do you want? And he listened. This took a long time. The people wanted peace but many of them didn’t know how to achieve this. They said we have been living with violence forever, even before your greedy interference. The President did not know what to say. So he said, come let’s all pray for peace. And they did, Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Pagans, Buddhists and all other religions. They prayed together and when they opened their eyes they saw something they had never seen before – each other. They held hands in wonder, daring to hope for world peace and then they realized, they had found it. That is how peace on Earth found victory.
