  • Do you guys really think you take anything away from the original post with these irrelevant responses??? I know it's hard for fans of a school that has never been seeded higher than 6th, but it's hard to beat a lot of higher seeded teams when you're a high seeded team yourself. A majority of those seasons, UC couldn't have played a higher seeded team until the Elite 8. • I know you Xavier fans can't be as stupid as you portray yourselves on this board, but maybe you are. How many games UC wins in the tournament is irrelevant. We're talking about program status. Games are won on the court. On any given day, any team can beat any other team. This has nothing to do with a team's status. A team's status is how they are viewed. Seedings are made up by human beings. The seedings are an exact indicator of how a program is viewed. You don't think the thoughts and opinions of the people organizing the biggest event in college basketball reflect the way a program is viewed??? The reason your post means nothing is because seeding is just one criteria one can use to determine what place a program resides in today's college basketball world. UNC did not even make the NCAA's.         • This has been answered. If you cannot understand the answer, I cannot help you. Both UC and XU are Major programs. UC may be higher in the Major category (currently) but IU is higher than UC as are many other Major programs. I just want to take this time to thank everyone who said the Big Zero was too stupid and that I could never get him to understand for motivating me to push on. The Big Zero is quite stupid, and it did take some time, but reality is finally begining to sink in. Although there is still work to be done. "UC does not get the same respect Michigan St gets"...             • Again MMM, you are wrong. I do not believe nor have I ever written that UC is a higher program than XU. They cannot be since they are both in the Major category. If you want to rank each team in the Major category from top to bottom, I think you will find that UC is in the middle of the pack of 50 or so teams. If UC is higher on the list at this moment in time it does not make them a higher program. No one denies that UC has had slightly more success in recent years than XU but they are both MAJOR programs.
