You have the rig to do it. My '83 "S" has the US spec 4.7 liter 234 HP engine, and although it was the fastest car sold in the USA that year, there are a lot of (cheaper) cars out there now-a-days that are as fast or faster (sigh). Guess this includes the new Vette, because in 1983 the car I have, with the options, cost more back then, than a new Vette costs off the showroom floor today!

The 83 is still a very able combatant, but nowhere as fast as the 300 HP Euro version, or the US spec GTS version like yours.
