When I had the shark in the shop for timing belt/water pump, they told me the same thing--they swore by it. I though it was probably some 911 or other air-cooled engine requirement (like a Briggs Straton lawn mower.) They said it was a "must have" for sticking valves, lifters, etc for all Porsches, not just air-cooled.

Saw the posts on this board a couple weeks ago about MMO and thought what the hell. Bought a bottle at Walmart last week for $1.70 or so. Haven't dumped any in shark yet; waiting 'til next fill-up. But I did put 4oz in the gas tank of my Jeep Wrangler. No kidding, I really do think it's running better. I don't think I'll ever dump any in the crankcase though.
