and according to legal analysts that ESPN talked to (talking about it this morning), it seems like this is a case of a judge basically prodding the league to settle (actually prodding both).

The only way a judge can overturn the suspension is IF the union shows that the process was unfair....because the punishment and who doles it out is written into the CBA and and judge won't overturn a negotiated contract.

Saying that the judge thinks it's harsh isn't the same as seeing the process as being unfair.
