>guilt. this is a heavy question for anyone but even
>harder for the atheist or scientist.

Why do you assume the nature of one's beliefs or occupation would create a more difficult scenario in which to provide insight?

how did humans develop guilt?! this is an
>impossibility.

Not really. Guilt is a negative expression of one's disgust at having committed an immoral act. Thus, a definition of morality and whether or not it is universal must arise. I argue that morality is universal.
Furthermore, I argue that morality is contingent on punishment. Punishment forms the basis of one's moral actions and thus belief system (what I believe to be moral vs what you believe to be moral may be different based on the punishment received throughout life).
Whole societies can therefore develop morality quite differently from other societies. What do you find impossible so far?

there would be no feeling bad about
>what anyone did because there would be absolutely no
>right or wrong..

This contradicts your very belief!! If God created the world....why didn't He create this kind of Utopia? You defeat your own argument with this statement because there is guilt.

and if neither of these exist how
>could we possibly develop a sense of guilt..

I covered that already.

no other
>animal posseses this trait.

Well, now DR. Doolittle, exactly how are you going to go about proving this assertion? I have seen the look on my dogs face when he knows he has broken a rule. I offer this up as miniscule evidence that animals do feel guilty. What can you offer that they don't?

now my answer is an
>outside force must have acted upon this place to give
>a sense of right/wrong

Cute theory......no evidence......will you at least make this interesting and offer up a critique on what I believe?
