No one really cares about anyone paddling with the ball under the arm. If you called it, you would create a stir! The 2001 rules have made it easier to play and referee, although some things still linger... Off the ball obstruction (will not be called by most referees), not allowing the 1m restart (despite the new rules, you won?t get calls for it) and illegal substitution (as in Aussie, expect harsh calls) remain the biggest issues as far as I have seen.
