Was just wondering if fines should be put in place for players that have been awarded a yelow or red card this would bring canoe polo in line with other national bodies and seeing as we now have a national competion of this standard I think it should be put in place; as polo is getting more media and spectator coverage. Also is there now the possibility of banning players for x number of games if they are awarded a red card through a league commitee.

I think putting in place these rules would allow for a cleaner game and a raise the players respect of referees, the only problem is the possibility that games need to be filmed for use in red card sanctions or if a player appeals after the game; I do not see this as a problem as most national league teams would have access to video cameras, the tape could also be used as a very valuable training tool.
