Well this topic just doesn't seem to go away so I thought I should throw in my 2 cents worth and hope that all this discusion has raised some concern within to committee that constucted the new proposal.

Firstly I feel the National league as a premier competion should remain a 20min game for the following reasons:
* The format of any premier sports league has the same number of players and time in play as its international format for the tactics of a game can alter by large amounts by changing these elements.I personally would start a 40min game with a different game plan to a 20min and I'm sure most players would do the some.
*Along the some lines you can not tell me that the last quarter of a 40min game would be as intense and explosive as the second half of the 20min.
*Finally I thought we are in the process of expanding our sport and a large issue is the cost and availability of pool time especially in competions and by doubling the time of play in the national league, regular competions will need to be the some making it harder to fit more teams in to an already tight schedule.

I would be intrested in knowing if all aspects of this proposal are readdressed at the up coming meeting as I beleive this is an important issue which could change the format of canoe polo throughout New Zealand.Thank you for the opportunity to put forward my views this forum is a great asset and I am greatful for all the hours that the NZCPA board members have been putting in to help the sport continue to grow.
regards
Karl Reece
