Basically I just want to know if early type 3s came with the brake pipe bracket on the axle tubes or not.
I plan to change the box in my notch for a later bug 1500 one which I have and while I was there I was going to change the axles for short ones for clearnace. When I looked at the box in my notch i noticed its got the brackets on the axles , which of course it does'nt use. I can't read the gearbox code as its corroded , but I figure if it's out of a early 6v bug it must already have the sort axles fitted.
