"The Osbournes" is an example of a good reality show. Ozzy and his family gave the people permission to film his family. It's one of those things where you first watched it out of curiosity and then on some strange level you could relate to them. Plus it's funny. Ozzy walks around in his stoned daze, mumbles stuff, Sharon must love him to put up with that and like a typical family, they fight about stuff. I think Weird Al said it best when he said "Take away the swearing, the vulgar jokes, the fights and the whole satanic rocker image and you basically have Ozzie and Harriet." Now "Anna Nicole"...that's a whole other story. Somebody needs to help that poor dumb bimbo.

As for American Idol, like I said I watched mostly to see the bad singers. The people you don't feel sorry for because either they can't sing, they have bad fashion sense or they have serious attitude problems but I don't care as much about the later installments. They only thing that is kinda rough is Simon is a little hard on those who aren't skinny. Given the culture we live in, people don't like fat pop stars but Paula Abdul has told Simon to back off on the body judging and concentrate on the vocal talent.

Also Loves, have you seen the college take offs of MTVs "The Real World?" There's Sorority and Fraternity life. I found myself watching those and reaffirming the reasons why I didn't plege a sorority. You can either watch the bitchy drama queens or the loud drunken idots but it's the same show either way.
As for people not getting along on reality shows, I believe the producers planned it this way because they wanted people to fight. The learned that with "Big Brother." In the first season of Big Brother, viewers were voting people out and they quickly voted out the nasty people so it got boring real quick and that's why they don't do it that way now. Same with most of those Blind Date shows. They purposely set up couples to either have the date blow up or end with the two getting down and dirty as opposed to TLC's "A Dating Story" where it either ends with "I like him and I'd do this again" or "I had a nice time but I don't have much attraction to him." Sometimes they kiss but from what I've seen, it never ended alluding to sexual intercourse. (God I sound like a teacher!)
