If you are expecting serious conversation, please go away. I'm just talking about my cat.

I've been taught by some very short people that it is damn near impossible to inflict discipline while laughing your ass off. Turns out the same holds true for cats.

My cat Callie likes to bury her food. Usually, she gets pieces of junk mail that I've tossed onto the little table by the couch. I pick it up, throw it away. No big deal.

Tonight, apparently, she had a particularly tasty can of the same damned crap she's been eating for the past two years. She sure went to a lot of trouble to hide it anyway. I found the food under and mushed into an eight pack of AA batteries that had been scratched out of the pack, a baseball cap that claims I once hiked the Grand Canyon, and a winter glove. The good news is the cap and the glove have been missing since last winter, and she got them out from wherever she'd hidden them before. The bad news is they are mushed into some stinky cat food. Eeeewwwww.

It's all my fault, of course. I cleaned the living room this afternoon and threw away all the junk mail. What choice did she have?

Tell me about the cat's childhood? Does she compete for your favors with another animal?
