Hrm...

1) Death and Ressurection. Frankly, I don't really like this whole "respawn" business. That should definitely be thrown right out the window. Ressurection the spell has been placed in the game, and that should be the primary method of coming back to life. I'm not sure what the rules on the availability on such magic are, exactly, and I think that Lee should be the final arbiter of those rules, as the DM should be. From personal experience, it is always better to have the players genuinely fear death. The best way to do this is to make ressurection a rather expensive procedure, whether it costs a lot of gold, or a precious item, or it forces the party to go on a quest of some sort.

2) Magical effects were programed into the game with both aestetic tastes and the D&D core fiction in mind. Spell effects are generally universal for every spellcaster (the Spell Thematics feat is an exception, but this feat is an expanded Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting feat and is not a part of the core D&D ruleset). A fireball begins as a tiny ball of light and explodes into a twenty-foot radius fiery ball of death for anyone who casts the spell.

3) I personally think that PvP setting should be placed on "full PvP" everywhere. That's just my opinion though. I don't like the idea of a party mage casting fireball with no regard for his fellow companions because the spell can't affect them. This goes against the D&D core rules.

4) Their implimentation of resting is *okay* in the game. I suppose it was the best way they could have done it. As for time, we can either do the cycling day and night that they've added (which is pretty quick, something like UO), or have day or night when the server starts up. I don't think you can change it ingame, but the toolset makes it pretty easy to switch. This would require the server going down, however. In my opinion, the cycling day and night isn't so bad.
