(ed. Just thought I'd put this up here for the record and further discussion)

1) how we will handle death and reserection
I would like it exceedingly rare and beyond the touch of players... perhaps something similar to Rahl's fate point thingie, but more limited. I can expound on that if you like.

2) how we will handle magic
Is there a way to have mages not associated with Addie's faction to be guard-whacked if they start a-casting? Or perhaps being seen doing such would get them a special event flag which start summoning inquisitioners and angry mobs.
: P
Beyond that, I am not quite sure what the question means... magic works fine, some, such as charm and the like would require player involvement if one player charmed another.

3) PvP settings
I would say it depends on the area... though if a troublesome player starts trying to roleplay a random, mass murderer, then it may get sticky. I would like it so that people trade fisticuffs somewhere.. and hopefully would have the civility or decorum to know when to say when. Of course, life is just as unpredictable, like when one of the guys in my brother's unit got killed off of one punch.

4) resting and time settings
this is a toughie... but I think the closer something is to 1:1 the less confusing and odd it will be. Perhaps "resting" is merely some chanting trance of L33T Uberness, taught by the servants of Ubernisa!

5+) any other basic settings and what not you can think of that should be the default in the Faalor campaign.
Personally, I would like to see a fair degree of arms control. Making weapons slightly rare, but not so rare that they are hard to get. Something like this one merchant offers the best swords, perhaps a smattering of lesser quality other weapons. Thus, if a player loses something or wishes to upgrade, it could be an adventure itself getting there. Of course, being able to rename weapons may help, so that a sword with -1 is really "a rusty sword" or something. heh... I have not played enough with other people to know what may or may not be a problem, thus am just shooting in the dark as usual.
