Yes in a roleplaying party it is a good thing to have each class/character perform his own skills. I really liked the experience with my Rogue: go ahead and scout, disarm traps, etc... The next time I will delight your weakling Sorcerer with setting some traps and then luring the enemies over them (*evil laugh*). I also love the Use Device Item skill that allows my evil guy to cast spells from scrolls and use device items as well.

About the cloaks and robes: I was reading the NWN boards at Bioware and apparently there is no way to show them in game... this really blows in my opinion, especially when playing in a multiplayer campaign. All the characters look very similar. Look at my assassin and your sorcerer: we looked like two Borgs :)

Side question to your p0w3rg4m3rZ out there: how high should I go with the Persuade skill? I find it very usefull for the SP campaign but, of course, in a multiplayer/DMed campaign it won't matter that much. I have it at about 10-12 right now and I rarely fail a skill check...
