Everybody's talking
But they don't say a thing
They look at me with sad eyes
But I don't want the sympathy
It's cool you didn't want me
Sometimes you can't go back
But why'd you have to go and make a mess like that?

With a sigh she dropped her heavy canvas bag on the floor near the sofa, dropping down with a groan of exhaustion. Her classes at RDU had been long, strenuous, and bordering on annoying. To her it seemed as though professors purposefully worked together to plan weeks where all of them held exams. Her hand automatically reached down and into the bag, pulling out a very heavy law book, her legs automatically curled up toward her chest to form a desk for the book as she paged through it and began to read, her eyes glassing over. Her hand went back into the bag, snagged a pencil and a highlighter, the latter placed in the crack of the book, then the pencil into her teeth. Her hands went into her waist length auburn hair, the tendrils curling softly around her fingers and spilling messily around them. She paused, her hands holding her hair up, pencil clenched in her teeth, too bound up in the reading to realize that she was frozen there.
