• She slipped out of her coat and shook free her blonde curls with a sigh, unzipping Isabelle's suit and picking her out of it as the little girl protested in her own garbled language. Holly got the little girl settled on a blanket she'd pulled from the diaper bag and sat between her daughter and the fire, letting her have a little crawl about. It was several moments before Holly lifted her bright blue gaze and caught sight of Josh sitting not far from them, feeling her chest tighten and her lips part in suprise as she watched him uneasily. It had been several m,onths since she had seen him in the park... and he had made no attempt to see Isabelle so she assumed he wanted nothing to do with her. She didn;t care how he treated her anymore- she was past thinking he ever cared about her... but he could at least show a little more compassion for his own blood. She barely noticed that Isabelle too had seen the man and had started crawling over to investigate. The little girl was almost at his shoes before she noticed it. She shook her self a little and hurried to follow the child , though stopped herself a moment, just to see Josh's reaction to his daughter trying to pull herself up on his pant leg. She shook her head, somewhat stunned and moved forward to pick up their child from his feet, ignoring the little girls noisy protests. "Hush now Izzy... you're better off without him.." • She set her jaw and frowned at him as he cursed at and grew angry, her own temper raising but managing to keep her voice down "No... you didn;t have a right to know... but she has a right to know. After you screwed me over and left me I went away. I found out I was pregnant and I was terrified. I did all this on my own, when I had her I had nothing to hold onto except the cold metal bars of the bed. the week after she was born I came home and you had gone. I didn;t see you again until that time in the summer and I thought you knew then." Her eyes were hurt and accusing for a moment before she lowered her gaze and composed herself, setting her jaw stubbornly, refusing to let him see her cry again. Her fingers lingering over the soft blanket before she swallowed a touch and turned back around to face him, to be greeted by Isabelle's protests again as she was turned away from the man she was for some reason intrigued with, the little girl twisting in her mothers arms to see him again. Holly watched him silently a moment, it was hard to do this- trust him with her angels heart when he had broken hers so cruely... but she had always vowed never to be the reason Isabelle didn;t know her father.
