  • The lot of them weren't unhappy children - Charlie was off, doing what he wanted to, and he was doing what he wanted to, whether it was what his parents had wanted or not - she, on the other hand, he wasn't so sure - she'd been rebellious as a small child, but had seemed to mellow out.
