She held her sons hand as they climbed the steps to the lodge slowly, a knot forming in her stomach. It was strange that, with all the efforts herself and Dante had been through and failed, that their five year old son would now insist they came back together. Ky had asked if they could go see his daddy... how could she say no? She'd called him and told him they were returning... and had arranged to meet here...
She often wondered how it had all gone so wrong... they hadn't had the greatest start but they'd made a go of it... yet when she'd sent him the divorse papers last year he had returned them immediately with everything signed... no arguements, no protest. They had both given up. And only when her son begged her to take him to his dad could she see what they had done.

He shifted nervously from foot to foot inside the lodge. As unhappy as they had been toward the end of their rollercoaster of a marriage, he hadn't been any happier since they'd been through. She glanced down to the little boy cautiously as she opened the door for him, holding his hand still... he was so grown up now...much more so than other five year olds. "Do you remember this place bub's?" The little boy nods a touch, though he was clearly as nervous and excited as his mother was worried... what if this didn't work out... what if Dante had screwed up again and wasn't there.... what if this wasn't such a great idea? She felt the little boys grip tighten and she squeezed his hand gently, she'd spoken to him before they came... told him that his daddy loved him very much and he was really looking forward to seeing him again... and Kyrell had been very mature about the whole thing... The little boy dropped his mothers hand and took the few spaces to his father, a little nervous all the same, he hadn't seen him since his third birthday... Amber watched as her son opened his arms up tentatively, saying 'hey' to his father. She swallows lightly, it tugged at her heart strings to say the least. It was all she could do to watch the pair, her nervous son in his fathers arms, she should have sorted this all out years ago... for Ky's sake... She couldnt help but grin a little, glancing from her son to Dante "How bout you too hit the beach and I'll pick us up some water melon... and your dad can have normal melon cause he doesn't like the seeds...." Ky nodded enthusiastically and rubbed his hands together. It was very warm out and Amber had though to bring him beach ware luckily, it had been a plan if the weather held out. She hands Dante the bag and looks to Ky "You gonna be okay?" It wasn't that she didn't trust Dante, she just wanted to check Ky was happy with the situation.
