Have simular experiences with almost every station I had listen to CT40/AT40/AT20 during the past 2 decades. It was the same with streaming stations from the US or Canada as well as stations from Europe.
The closest repeats I've heard recently might be the N°2 song right after the show or N°1 as second play after the show.
I've also recognized songs played right before the show and again in the lower part of the Top 40.

This all seems to be a problem especially since computers took over in the mid 90's and place the songs in order for
airplay.
Others than that nobody at a station cares what's in the Countdown Show in detail. It's just a programme block they use ... we all know about mixing up segments or hours.
Most times the air personal or technical engineer is changing during the 4 hour run of the show. So host of the following programme has no idea what was played 30 minutes before, since he just came in.
