Subject: 11 Years Ago This Weekend

As most of us recall, it was 11 years ago this weekend that AT40 stopped using the Hot 100. Though I understand the reasoning now (from reading Rob's book), I was, like most listeners, rather upset and totally confused when I tuned in that weekend.

Does anybody know why Shadoe wasn't allowed to explain the chart change on the show? The AT40 staff surely knew that there would be thousands of confused fans, as attested by the form letter I got when I wrote in! Wouldn't it have been so much easier for the show to have addressed this on the air in order to avoid all the backlash?
