Subject: Laughed out loud

I saw the clouds fall to the ground
saw life's cycle turn to dust
and land on my feet-
I smiled into the wind
thanked her for the change
really breathed in the night
tucked my past in mt pocket
and appreciated the time that passed,
but left it there . . .
I accepted the absense of "I love you's"
and founf refuge in myself.
Reality became real,
not polluted with messy thoughts
or broken dreams
or tear stained pillows-
I burned those pillow cases
I vacuumed up insecurities
and released them in my backyard.
I found the place where I can live in the moment
and laughed out loud
until I could no longer stand.
