Subject: 3 Taffs and an(overconfident)Englishman.Wembley !!

We were at my place in Pencoed with the TV on and several crates of stella at our feet.
Me, my 2 mates and my English housemate.

Our English friend began taking the piss when England looked like hammering us, he was a bit worried by our lack of laughter.
After 15 mins he had totaly clammed up as we screamed, swore and jumped about whilst following the game.-He said after that he thought we were'f**cking barmy.

75mins-
We were glum and depressed and it looked as if we were in for a depressing night drowning our sorrows.

As jinks kicked for touch after that dodgy penalty, I turned and said to the boys,"The one thing we've done all season is score tries, we can still win this".-My English friend snorted in derision (The 1st sound we'd heard from him in some time)

and the rest is history.

As Gibbs dived over we were literally jumping up and down hugging like loonies, our English friend was shaking his head and giving us funny looks.

I have the video of that match, and the night before every Wales game I take it out and watch the last 10 mins - I still jump out of my seat and punch the air every time I watch it.

My greatest Rugby moment.

?If only the boys could rediscover that spirit.
