we have ran our electric furnace at times however it leaves one with soggy crackers, slimy feeling damp beds and me with asthma attacks . We already run 3 hepa filters to clean out the air in the house so do not want to get involved with a dehumidifier in every room . Evidently you have never lived in wa or or or n ca to know what I am talking about . I need the drier air in the house in order to survive sooooo .
