Don't you guys think that we should re-examine our ideas on crime and punishment?

Seems to me that since under x set of circumstances y will be the result, it makes punishment seem barbaric. I guess I sound like a bleeding heart, but I don't mind that. Just seems that people deserve more than they're getting from the system.

The criminal justice system is hopelessly effed up IMO. The cops are out of control, the courts can't be trusted to rule based on law only. The AG office is completely political.

It's a mess.
