Well, in forty-eight when the English were playin both sides against the middle, I don't think Israel even had a say in the matter. It looks to me like the Palestinians are the ones who can't tolerate Israel. It's not true that the cease fire was unilateral. I guess thats the way it turned out, but just the night before the first suicide bomber, Arafat made an optimistic statement about peace being in reach. Trouble is, he then made a different speech to Palestinians calling for martyrdom.

I can relate to feeling hopeless about the political situation, but I would never encourage a child to kill himself for any cause. If I thought it was a worthy cause, I might do it my self, maybe. If I thought it would make things better for my son and his family. I would not however blow up civilians. I'd target cops and soldiers and government buildings.

Better yet, I'd hope my "leader" would negotiate.
