I select one issue that seems to resound within me -- not so much intellectually, but at some emotional level. In your list, the Rehnquist (sp) thing seems to resound for you. I think that because you are the first person I've read that made that connection in that way.

Your theme might be; to ask if such a thing would have ever been said outside the atmosphere created by the current administration.

To me, choose any one you like, then go with it. Write what you want to say.

By the way, Michael Moore has fired the first shot, so the debate is entered, and our national senses are aroused and ready to entertain the views of other citizens. Among other questions he raised was to point out that Bush might not have been influenced by Enron, but he used their corporate jet in his campaign travels!

I swear, if I had the money, I'd start a daily paper containing nothing except issues and opinions.

It might also make it easier if you remember that the goal is to influence thought, not force it.
