Please don't take offence but that attitude is exactly why we are in trouble today.

This is not a perfect world and not every person ascribes to your values. This nation was founded on diversity and I happen to like diversity. I want you to be able to live your life in peace and tranquility and I want to live my life in peace and tanquility.

If you do not ascribe to my values, fine, I will not force them on you and I would like for you to have the same respect for me and my values.

Legislating morality is just wrong. What if instead of the law being what it is now, the law was that all persons were required smoke cigarettes and stay up until midnight every night? How about if everyone was required to shoot-up herion every day? Oh, that would be terrible. Really? It is all a matter of perspective. I think that everything should be legal. Let the people police themselves. Oh, that is terrible. Really?

Please excuse me, you hit a sore spot.
