Take for example an organisation that is 100% bad, if it becomes only 99% bad that to me is a change.

It would be a change, but would be not acceptable for an organization that claims to be a Christian church. I repeat that we do not measure UBF with standard that we would use to measure political regimes or football clubs, but with the standard that needs to be applied if an organization calls itself not only a church but "the work/minstry of God" and its representatives claim to fullfill the will of God and exercise "divine authority." Even 1% bad cannot be tolerated in a church. Jesus and the Apostle Paul warned that "a little leaven (maybe <1%) leaveneth the whole dough" and that the church needs to put away such little leaven. A church that is "content" with being 1% bad and does not make efforts to get rid of this is not acceptable according to Biblical standards. Paul required Christian to "become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation," and not to be 99% bad in a 100% nad generation. Of course we can never achieve this, but if we stopped striving towards this and claiming 99% or 1% bad is ok also, this is not Biblical.

A "compromizing" UBF that looks a little bit more civilized, but operates according to the same underlying inhumane and unbiblical principles is not better, but even worse, because it is harded to see where the problem is. You can say that UBF is much better than the Moon cult, because they do not claim Samuel Lee is the Messias, but I can also argue that UBF is worse than the Moon cult, because their theological aberrance is more subtle and harder to see through, so they are more dangerous.

forgive me if for the moment I am unable to determine if the abuse I experienced was greater or less than that of UBF!

The problem is not the quantity of abuse, but the quality of abuse. You probably don't have experienced mind control abuse, at least not exercised on yourself. Have you ever believed that some authority was the representative of God for you and blindly trusted in them because of this belief? Probably not, and therefore you cannot understand what kind of abuse follows from such a mindset. We are talking about this kind of abuse here.

My point really is that we have entered a new post Lee era where the beginnings of change might take place. I have observed the writings of apparently lower orders that encourage me to take a more optomistic view.

You wrote something similar about North Korea. But even there, I cannot see any change. Instead, it seems to get worse, including the personal cult around the leader. So it depends on your viewpoint. The recent writings did not encourage me, but shock me because of the writer's indifference and compromizing which I did not expect from a young Christian.

For me, all that counts is REAL repentance and REAL frankness and openness. Putting lipstick on the pig makes it only worse, not better. Without repentance no forgiveness, and without Glasnost no Perestroika. I kow you measure differently with a "human" measurestick but I refuse to measure a Christian organization that claims to be God's governors on earth with a human measurestick.
