Great find!

UBF-message: “... Here we must admit that superficial knowledge leads us astray. We must not put too much confidence in our superficial knowledge of things. What we know by our sensual perception and human reason is indeed limited. There is the story of four blind men who touched an elephant. Each one touched a different part. One touched the tail and said, "It is like a snake." Another touched the leg and said, "It is like a tree." Another touched the belly and said, "It is like a huge cow." Another touched the tusk and said, "It is like a stick." They all thought they were right. But none of them saw the whole picture.
Human beings have many ideas about God. They say many things out of their human observation and reason and speculation. But Jesus is different...”

This "but Jesus is different" transition is a very typical pattern in UBF messages. Of course they want to be understood as "we are different," since they identify their mindset with the one of Jesus.

But what was most striking for me is that I actually wanted to use that picture to describe UBF, because it fits so perfectly well to UBF. Particularly, it applies 100% to their method of purely passage based teaching, where they read small selected Bible passages and swagger about them without ever putting the whole puzzle together in thematical or subject based messages or lectures. They despise systematical theology that tries to bring the pieces togethers, but prefer to "touch the elephant" at preselected places that may give people the impression that the elephant is something completely different.
