Subject: ubf leaders try to become delegators
In reply to: Seb 's message, "Re: Trying to Leave UBF at WIU" on 12:12:33 09/14/04 Tue

Hi Seb,

Thanks for posting. Please post again. Jim may have been that way back in the day, but he may have changed his perception of himself. Jim may have decided he was now a chapter leader, a PhD, etc. and thus he no longer has to recruit, love bomb, follow up, etc. It is a trait among ubf leaders to not really do anything except to order others around. At present there is a very small nucleus of ubfins, so he may have decided to assert his leadership by not doing any of the activities expected of all the lower persons.

In the case of cults in general, there is the tendency for one person to be lifted up as the authority, who makes all kinds of decisions for others. In the case of ubf, the chapter leader has become the supreme authority for that chapter, making life changing decisions for others, but frequently taking orders from higher ups, such as the late EE Chang Woo. For Jim to establish himself as the leader at WIU, eventually he has to set himself apart as an authority figure who cannot be doing mundane tasks such as recruiting. Rather, he would enhance his power by giving orders to everyone else there.

Does that make sense? God bless you all.
