Jim, please understand that Nick is has legitimate reasons to be angry on UBF and show little understanding for people who defend UBF, since they destroyed his family. I want you to see behave more decently after UBF had dealt with you and your family in the way they did with Nick. If possible, talk with Nick privately if you want to find out more.

Also, again, don't lump us all together as "the forum." The forum consists of many different people.

And I can also not emphasize enough that the forum is not the best place to get informed about UBF. You should read first the articles and testimonies which have been written about UBF. You find them on the main RSQUBF web site or on sites such as UBF-Info.de.

Also, stop black and white thinking. As Nick pointed out, UBF members (as cult members in general) tend to believe the world is divided into "completely good / godly" and "completely evil / ungodly" groups. So if anything outside the UBF world tends to indicate this is the sphere of "Satan," UBF must be automatically the "sphere of God." I know UBF members think that way, I have been one of them. Stop thinking in that mode. God does not restrict himself to human-made organizations, overlooking anything that happends there if they proclaim to be "his ministry." He even criticized the churches in revelation, though most of them were probably much more godly than UBF and they are still considered Christian churches in the Bible. Or to give you another example: Stalin or Communism was not automatically good, because he fought against Hitler and Fascism. Things are often more complicated than simple black-white patterns (or black-black as in the latter case).

Our current money is going toward a bible-house building and also supporting another UBF chapter.

Jim, did you know that UBF has millions of dollars on Chicago bank account, piled up over the 4 decades? Why don't they use up that money before the ask you to spend money for a "bible house" (actually a UBF house). Did you know that UBF already owns a lot of real estate in Chicago, Toledo and elsewhere?

Did the leader tell you exactly which other UBF chapter is supported and excatly for which purposes it is used there?

Jim, after I left UBF I made a Bible fellowship for university students as an alternative. We simply asked a nearby church whether they had rooms free where we could have weekly Bible studies and they were more than happy to help us with a room. Also, the university usually has rooms free for such purposes. You don't need much money or build "bible houses" to study the Bible with students. We never asked a student to give us money.
