Subject: Holly Lord-Reese

Hi again,

I don't know very many FACTS about Holly (then) Lord's
leaving except for the following:

She sent JLS an e-mail saing "I'm leaving UBF." and that
is it.

What I'd heard from JLS is that Holly made a decision
somewhere in Summer 1993 to start talking to those outside
of UBF for advice instead of coming to her shepherd(s).
As a result, they convinced her that she should just leave.
If she had been willing to talk to her shepherd(s) instead
of people outside (who don't know the context of the prob-
lems), then she would've been able to work through the
problems the right way.

I shoul note that at this time in 1993, I was being rebel-
lious and ceased to study the Bible (from about April 1993
to December 1993). Holly Lord attended the MSU conference
in 1993 -- I drove her to the airport. This I gather was
the last of the functions she chose to participate in.

Of note was David and Jennifer Lemmon's wedding in October
1994, held here at State College, PA, of course. Both
Sarah Barry and Jim Rabchuk were here, and they went over
to Holly's apartment to talk to her, but she was not there.

One other detail, Holly and Matt Reese (after they got mar-
ried) joined a very small church here in town called Faith
Baptist. It is more of a community-centered church rather
than a student-centered one.

And.... that's all I know of Holly & Matt Reese. :)

With Love,

PSUDAB

P.S. The three main "ancestors of faith" for Penn State UBF
were:

1. Holly Lord, pioneer with JLS & SLS (1992-1993)
2. Mark Casamento, first "sheep", (March 1992 - Nov 1999)
3. Jennifer Weber-Lemmon, second "sheep" (August 1992-now)

I come in fourth place, as third sheep, Sept 1992-Oct 2002
with a 9-month hiatus in 1993)
