Some of the political pundits such as George Stephanopolis or newscasters such as Tom Brokaw have a better handle on what's going on and what should be done than the politicians do.
Politicians are NOT about fixing things ~ they are about getting elected.
The problem with our system is not really who's in office but the checks and balances that are supposed to work and don't.
It was proven to me with several Presidents who I did think had their hearts in the right place, that if you can't get Congress to go with it, you're screwed.
The President seems to me more a figurehead - like the Queen who has the title but not really the power.
baby Bush was allowed to run free but it was Congress who let him.
