Let us say that you are right to say that abortion is the taking of life in the way murder is. Whilst the aborter or abortionist does not believe this and neither does the law of the land, unless the aborter or abortionist believes otherwise, surely it as at worst 'manslaughter'.

Genocide - The systematic and planned extermination of an entire national, racial, political, or ethnic group - does not apply to aborted foetuses either.

If you agree not to use these terms, I'll agree not to ask you if masturbation is murder. Doh... I've already done it.

I know this is a serious subject and only made that comment to keep my point good natured. I do perhaps think that abortion should be taken more seriously and avoided at all costs in many ways but am against outlawing it.

I do think that perhaps the definition of independent life should be more precise and be dependent on the individual, if this does not create a minefield, than it is currently.
