and an American I support the right of all people to worship in their own way. Unless you haven't noticed, the bill of roghts creates a buffer between the church and the state.

Maybe you just don't like the thought that Roe v. Wade might be overturned. It happens to bad law all the time. Look at Prohibition. Bad law, gave the Mafia a way to become powerful and rich.

ROe v. Wade is bad science based on bad law. Women say Keep your hands off our bodies. The problem is that the unborn is a separate living entity. All the material needed to grow into a viable human came at conception. THe mother is a host and a provider of food. The mother does not provide any genetic material other than what was provided with the original egg. Maybe you support Obama voting against the Born Alive Protection act whereby fetuses born alive during induced delivery abortions be given medical treatment to keep them alive. It came to light that a nurse found a living child with Down's Syndrome in a waste basket in a Chicago hospital. THe child died. Obama said that to have a doctor come in and treat the child would be an undue burden on the woman's original decision. I dare anyone of any religion to try and justify that behavior in front of any God on whatever judgment day they belive in!

Won't be pretty. Of course, if there is no God, then there is nothing to worry about.

On the gay marriage issue which is another hot button topic that people like to bash Christians about, I ask you to do your homework: all major religions: Christianity, Islam, Judiaism, Hindu and Buddism all condemn the practice. Again, if there is no Gods then don't sweat it.

As a Christian, and among those I know, all would call for te end of abortion. It is murder. (And don't use the lame argument that as a man I can't know what I'm talking about. Believe me when I tell you I know first hand better than you could ever know about the ramifications of abortion.) A majority of Americans are against this genocide and will give no quarter in the battle to end the murder of millions of our own children.

As for the homosexual marriage issue. I say marriage is between a man and a woman, but that our constitution guarantees equal rights to all, and that there should be no discrimination against homosexuals. THere is plenty of room to negotiate civil remedies to the problems faced by homosexuals.

Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Rome burned because it bacame corrupt and decandant.

When I was young I always thought the left-wing philosophy was one of tolerance and inclusion. Reality has shown me that those on the left are just as intolerant and bigoted as those they claim are the real bigots. I wonder how this country can survive with people who are entrenched so far apart.
