I'm not that deeply hurt over it. I didn't loose any sleep. I have very strong feelings about my work and what I volunteer for. Your comment rubbed me the wrong way and to be frank, pissed myself and several other department members off. This building will easily last the rest of my life time. We don't plan on building one ever again. It would make sense to do it right the first time. I think that is the proper way to spend hard earned tax money (including mine). We have a hard enough time getting people to show up for mandatory osha training. If your a volunteer, you should already understand this. The lousy $200.00 tax break is our only pay check. I appreciate the new building and the A+ equipment that our town provides for us. My question back is this: The residents of Prospect voted and approved to spend THEIR money. Shouldn't that be good enough? They could have said no. Where do you two get off making comments about what we spend OUR tax money on?
We found your comment because we are upgrading our site with training pictures, fires, MVA's, etc. Though it was posted over a year ago, I thought it was worth while to right about it.
