If you are privy to such inside info, why not reveal it? why not reveal the source? what do you stand to lose on a web posting board from a college with an installed alumni base of 10,000 and a posting board of maybe 500 to 1000? The answer is not much. Answer all 5 of the questions below and I might belive you're legit.

Name the 5 hill dorms in order starting with the closest dorm to Hogan?

Name the annual event that used to occur at the 1st sonwfall every year and name the 2 dorms who were involved?

What is the name of the tiny theater in the basement of Fenwick/O'Kane?

Name the man (Jesuit priest) who has was a fixture in the Chaplain's department for many years and the type of purple hat he always used to wear?

Name the prof who taught in the foreign language and ran the Kimball theater from the 60s through the 90s?

anyone who spent time at HC should know these. anyone who doesn't is a phony. I'll post the answers tomorrow for the curious.

I can't answer them all either, and I'm a fourth generation legacy. Some things just went under my radar while I was at HC.

IF the poster is legit, these questions are ridiculous. Reversing the roles, are you saying you'd divulge confidential info and reveal your source ?

A friend, maybe a long-time friend, even just a 'source' ? How about self respect in the violation of a confidence OR trust ? IF the poster is legit, he's given his WORD to someone. IF he is legit, the only thing I'd fault him on is basically posting an 'I know something you don't know' message which invites this doubt and ridicule.

I'm not sure what 'an installed alumni base of 10,000' means. HC has nearly/over 20,000 living alums, do we not ?

And 'and a posting board of maybe 500 to 1000?'....where, here ? Maybe I'm way off but I doubt we have 40-50 regular unofficial members here - year round.

FWIW, I have no idea what the answers are to ' Name the annual event', 'the name of the tiny theater in the basement of Fenwick/O'Kane' ( only theatre I knew was the one in lower Kimball ), 'Name the man (Jesuit priest) who has was a fixture' or 'Name the prof who taught in the foreign language and ran the Kimball theater'.

I'll wait for the questions on the annual 'fat man's relay races', the 'on-campus ski slope', the 'location of the golf driving range', what we used to 'go sleigh riding on the hills/bumps adjacent to Fenwick' and 'how many confessionals are there in the main Chapel' !
