He didn't like her being out on the strip alone, there were lots of guys - similiar to him - that wouldn't think twice about taking advantage of a pretty young girl like her. He finished off the joint, extinguishing it in the ashtray. He just wanted to hold her again so that was what he did, dragged her back against his chest, his arms once more securely around her waist to keep her close to him.
