I think your just trying to cover up the fact that your a boring old man and you can't think of anything." She nodded as if to agree with herself, her lower lip jutting out in a pout. "Tomorrow are you coming with me to test out wedding cakes? I can't try them or I'll never fit in my dress so I need your tummy to be there to eat it all." She had gained back a lot of the weight she lost but still not all of it. At least she was looking a bit more healthy though, and no longer like some sort of terminally ill patient.

  • It had been frightening, the physical state that she had been in for a long time after the hospital stay, after everything. He dropped an arm over her shoulders, tucking her under his arm easily, protectively. "Wouldn't miss it for the world." He was lucky he still had her - that was the way he saw it - he was on the mend, and that was good.. once the wedding was out of the way, though, they could relax and settle into things, the typical way of life of a married couple.
