He nodded to a bar owned by a former "business" associate of his who had followed his own lead and straightened out, trying to make some legit money, as far as he knew. It was a happening little spot, nothing fancy and not nearly the calibre of his own clubs, but it was not a bad place to hang out - quiet and intimate, which was what he felt like, just not going home.
