Even warmly buzzed from the drinks she had consumed in quick fashion just moments earlier as she was, she was also enough in tune to him that she noticed the shift in his mood. Even though they'd only been hanging out for a couple of weeks, they had spent a far amount of time together - and she was learned to recognize his various vibes at different times. As his sweet kisses drifted down to her neck, she tipped her head to the side and a hand slipped up his chest to curl around the back of his neck. Her fingers gripped tightly there and her eyes slid lightly shut as she still pressed tight against him - but more just to be close to him than anything else. Her belief was that emotions complicated things, and at her age she just completely lacked the mental capacity to deal with the drama that accompanied feelings. It was perhaps her greatest vice - especially because she had trouble acknowledging it. She preferred to play the 'young and foolish' card over the risk of getting attached and then ultimately burned.
