He was sitting on a log with the young Dylan, getting the news and chit-chatting absently with him and Zeke, who was trying to get the fire started - they were so busy these days with everything it seemed like they never got to just hang around any more, so he was definitely enjoying the laid-back evening, and was glad to see Kesi and Kali having some time to catch up. It was Kali who first noticed Adam's approach and called out to Jake to give him the 'warning' - the boys would definitely be welcomed with open arms to the group, but a heads up was necessary. They were coming from the direction of the strip, so she figured one or all of them would be at least a little intoxicated - and her little brothers were around so she didn't want too much obscenity until they headed home. After they were gone, the older boys could be as crazy as they wanted - but she was more than a little bit protective of Dylan and Aaron. At least the littlest one - Aaron - was still preoccupied with Jocelyn, who was sitting off in the dimming light with the little boy, building a sand castle as they had obviously come to a truce. At Kali's warning, and smirking in amusement, he left his little group and headed down the beach to meet Adam first who was still ahead of Colden and Luke, raising a hand in greeting. "Look guys... We don't want any trouble." His tone was teasing as he hooked an arm around the smaller Adam's neck and waited for the stragglers to catch up.
