Subject: She leaned back down, her head in the pillow for a moment before she shifted again, her brow furrowed. Her lip tucked between her teeth, clearing her throat as she let out a slow breath, sitting up again. The tightening was becoming more intense and she just couldn't get comfortable. Shifting to sit up just a touch, she reached for the ice chips on the table next to her, wishing this would all just hurry along.

  • With a small smile - so clearly nervous and anxious yet brimming with excitement - he murmured a 'catch you later' to the other mand and returned to her side. Lowering himself to the edge of the chair at her bed, he brushed a hand slowly through her hair and then slipped his other fingers into hers, voice soft. "Can I get you anything, baby?" He kind of sensed that she wasn't the most comfortable being in the hospital, but he was thankful that she wasn't complaining - he really wouldn't have things any other way.
