(He brushed his lips over her temple and sighed.) You always have the best instincts. (He said softly, he usually went with what she said- she tended to be right about these things. Being a negotiator made you aware of things that being a detective didnt.) (He sighed and narrowed his gaze on her a little.) And you deserve that why? (He shook his head.) No one deserves what she got. Except maybe whoever hurt her. (He tilted his head a little.. he didn't like seeing her so damaged.. it bothered him and he wasn't used to being affected this way.) (She responded by making another soft sound, her eyes opening after what seemed like an internal struggle. She was pretty much drugged still, fighting the urge to sleep. Her pupils were wide and her eyes were unfocused as she woke a little. The entire room looked like a giant dot drawing and her eyes shifted uneasily. She said his name after a second, sensing him there.. hearing and responding to his voice.)

She sighed softly, turning in his arms to hug him tightly,her brow furrowed as she looked up at him, her eyes questioning. "Sleep with me tonight, Quin, please?" She requested softly, her eyes reflecting her need for him. "I am not saying I deserved it, I am just saying I would be able to handle it better." She pursed her lip, looking up at the clock. "I need to go, I have to work..." She just needed something to be normal, to feel like life was going on. Plus, she didn't think she could face seeing Karlie just yet knowing that she could have prevented what happened to her. He just continued murmuring soothingly to her, brushing his hand down her cheek softly, murmuring her name and that it was all going to be ok, that he was there and she was alright now.
