She shook her head, sighing softly. "No, he needs to be alone with her right now." She just knew it in her instincts that he needed a few minutes with the girl. "We might get him but he's not the one behind it all, he's just a hired hand." She always just went with her gut instinct and that was what her gut was telling her. She didn't really react to his arm around her shoulder other then leaning slightly into him, biting her lip as she stared blankly at the floor. This all just wasn't fair. "Shoulda been me...she's got so much going for her, she doesn't need this." She was talking to herself mostly, her eyes sliding shut after a second. He swallowed the lump in his throat, letting out a soft sound before he gently ran his hand over her cheek. "Shh, shh baby, its alright...open your eyes for me Karlie..lemme see those beautiful eyes." He kept his voice soft and soothing, not wanting to distress or disturb her anymore.
