He stood outside the room, leaning back against the wall, his head tipped back, dark eyes closed heavily. • The doctor sighed softly, looking up to the protective man before he cleared his throat. "She has slightly swelling to her brain from the concussion, but that seems to be under control. • "The baby, she was approximately 9 weeks pregnant." He shook his head. "Obviously, the fetus went into shock and was jarred by the fall. She actually miscarried though during the examination.
